Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

RCIA adapted for Children

It is the process by which an unbaptized child over the age of 7 yrs old is incorporated into the Catholic Church. The Sacraments of Christian Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist—lay the foundations of every Christian life. The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life.

Process Overview

It is a two year process. The journey is open to children 7 yrs or older who have not been baptized. The process culminates in the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil liturgy whereby the participants become full members of the Catholic Church.

Register thru the Faith Formation Office (a copy of the participant’s birth certificate is required at the time of registration)
